Rufina Ruiz López | Handmade Low Black Clay Bowl

Handmade by Oaxacan ceramic artist Rufina Ruiz López, this low black clay bowl has a generous, shallow silhouette and a richly nuanced charcoal surface. Its gently rounded rim and subtle variations in tone reflect the character of pottery formed by hand.

Rufina is a fifth-generation ceramicist from Santa María Atzompa, Oaxaca, whose practice draws on knowledge passed down through her family. This sculptural piece brings that living tradition into the home.
